Lesson 14: Increasing your lifespan, rejuvenation, immortality, and the element of water and its sub-elements

Longevity, rejuvination, and immortality: This lesson builds upon the previous material in Lesson 8 by taking that material much further. According to the Teachings the meditation offered here can slow down, stop, or even slightly reverse the aging process. To benefit fully the practitioner should have completed a 6 month period of vegetarianism with a diet as heavily based in raw foods as possible. According to the teachings, you should believe it is possible to extend one’s lifespan to one thousand years. This is so because we are all God. We all have a divine spark of the Creator’s power. The purpose of this course is nothing less than learning to cultivate this spark.

While this belief would likely be beneficial, it appears that around 150 years is the current maximum we can ideally expect a person to live.

Getting back to the purpose of this training, the Order’s teachings are meant to help grow this divine spark. These teachings are designed to make the practitioner into a master. Here, a master is one that has mastered their physical body. To do this, the separation of mind and body must be dropped. The truth of the bodymind must be realized, not accepted but really realized from within the student.

This brings us to this section’s first lesson: you must abandon the programing of death and take up the programing of life!

Step 1 part A is to forgive yourself: Forgive yourself for being programed for death. Forgive yourself for believing you were separate from the Creator. Forgive yourself for your lack and the limitations you have set upon yourself for that error.

Part B: Let go of death, aging, and illness. Positively reinforce that you are ageless and eternal. No really, realize that the spark of the Creator which radiates from your very core is beyond time. Let go of emotional attachments to death. This fear and sorrow of death leads to a fear of life. Let go.

Next, embrace joyfully the eternal life that goes along with the divine spark that is the true nature of your being.

Step 2 is to deeply realize your unity with the Creator: Know you are light and love and joy and the power of and the wisdom and the freedom of the unlimited perfection of your real self.

These two steps require repetition and practice. You must sit and meditate on them for some time before moving on to step 3. These two simple steps may take years of practice before they truly sink in for steps 3 and 4 to be fully effective. You don’t have to wait years before trying steps 3 and 4 but you should be comfortable with steps 1 and 2. You have to have the old death programing with its innate fear of life on the way out before you can replace it with the new life programing!

Step 3 is to honestly assess your progress with steps 1 and 2: You must deeply consider your attitude towards death. You must look deeply within your subconscious mind and observe how it is responding without judgement. This process is difficult. If you find you are still resisting this portion of the training, go back and work on steps 1 and 2. Persistence is key.

Step 4 Pituitary gland meditation: When you have loosened the old programing enough that you no longer have significant subconscious resistance to this process you are ready for step 4. The pituitary is the gland is sometimes called the master gland and with good reason! It controls the function of much of your glandular systems.

The pituitary gland meditation involves you first becoming aware of your pituitary gland inside your head. Thank it for producing the “death hormone” and ask that it now start producing the “life hormone”. Tell it that you choose to rejuvenate your body. Charge it to awaken all of your other glands to joyous cooperation in this rejuvenation process. Thank your pituitary gland.

Practice this meditation daily and visualize/imagine the effects. To enhance the meditation, when you are ready, move on to the second part. Here you will visualize yourself moving into your knob shaped pituitary. Gently massage and milk it in your mind’s eye. After a few moments a golden drop will emerge from it. Feel it surge through your bloodstream flooding your body with life. Feel it activating your chakras and flooding your bodymind with light. Take the time to feel its positive life giving effects on every portion of your body, each organ, each muscle and bone, each cell of your bodymind. Let its life giving effects radiate all the way to each atom of your being.

This meditation can be performed several time per day. It should be done at least every morning shortly after getting up and every night before going to bed. To take this practice a step further, when you look in the mirror visualize yourself growing more healthy and vibrant every day. Really see it. Again, this takes practice so just fake it until you make it!

A large portion of what we see in the mirror is a projection of our own self image. This process of visualizing yourself as healthy and vibrant in the mirror will help to reduce the negative feelings you may have about your body and replace them with positive and healthy ones.

Supplemental meditation: Following the pituitary meditation you can continue the feeling of rejuvenation with an additional supplemental chakra meditation.

Breath deeply and gently until you feel grounded and centered. As you have been practicing meditation regularly for a while now, this shouldn’t take too long. Now, become aware of the fact that you, your awareness, is observing yourself in meditation. Relax your whole body and let your awareness become detached from your mind and feelings. At first this will simply be the talking portion that rambles on endlessly trying to distract you from your meditation but with practice your perception of what your mind is will expand.

When you achieve this sense of detachment proceed to blessing your body with each chakra, one by one. Let your physical and energetic bodies open and flood with radiating light. Once again, return to each chakra but this time address the glands associated with each chakra. Fill them with joy and perceive them cooperating with the process of rejuvenation. This will cause your chakras to spin faster. If you don’t notice it at first, that is OK. Just visualize your chakras spinning clockwise, speeding up.

We aren’t going to go into a long discussion about the chakras here, but just as a quick reference the chakras and associated glands are:

Crown chakra        Pituitary gland

Third eye              Pineal gland

Throat                  Thyroid gland

Heart                    Thymus

Solar plexus         Adrenal glands

Abdomen             Pancreas

Root                     Gonads (testicles/ovaries)

As you do this you may opt to include some positive affirmations to reinforce your innate divinity.

When you are ready, visualize your perfected body of light and step into it, feel it, become one with it. Take some time with this step and be patient here. When finished, simply let the meditation go. Remember to ground yourself.

If you need additional help in the process of reprogramming yourself for rejuvenation and eliminating the programing of a fear of death and fear of life, then you can try making a recording talking yourself through steps 1 and 2. Enter into trance while playing this back to yourself. Then take some time to honestly assess your subconscious attitudes again. It is not failure if you have to go back and start over with steps 1 and 2. You have been programed deeply for many years to have these fears. It will take some effort on your part to abandon them and embrace a love of life.

If you find you feel you are forcing the process, you may need to take a break from it. You are working to rewrite some powerful programing. Taking a break from this process after you have been doing it for a while can be beneficial for several reasons. The two most important are these. First, it can give the programing a chance to sink in subconsciously. Second, going without doing this practice can show you just how much good the practice is actually doing. The benefits come gradually. When a student discontinues a practice like this they often find the practice was doing more than they realized to bolster the student’s energy and health.

Remember this is a long term process for a lifetime of change!

Lifestyle1: There are three elements to your health. They are your genetics, your diet, and your environment. The three actually interplay with each other. What you eat and the environment you live in have a direct influence in how your genes express. Your genetic makeup and your activity level direct what and how much you should eat. Your genetics and your diet play a big role in how your body handles your environment.

What you put in your body determines what you get out of it. Tobacco and nicotine are harmful to you physically, energetically, spiritually, and mentally. Nicotine is used by the tobacco plant as an insecticide. Yes, it is by definition a poison! It causes both physical dependence and mental addiction. The additional chemicals in these products work to enhance the poison’s control over you.

In many North American tribes where tobacco was used traditionally, they had cautions about its use. They advised that you limit your intake to 3 pipes per day. Anything more than than at it was thought that the spirit of tobacco, a very powerful spirit indeed, would take control of you. What they were talking about was nicotine addiction.

For the purposes of this training, the only use tobacco has is for offerings to the spirits if you are inclined to do such a thing. It can be placed into small bundles and left as offerings to local spirits. It can be sprinkled on the ground as an offering. It should not be used internally. Some people use it as a poultice to draw out toxins. I will leave that to you to research if you would like to keep it on hand for that, however that is beyond the scope of this lesson.

Additional toxins which should be limited or eliminated from the diet include red meat, alcohol, caffeine, white (table) sugar, and drugs. By this point you may well be a vegetarian. If not you are hopefully limiting your meat intake. In regards to alcohol and caffeine, a small amount isn’t likely to harm you. A single glass of wine with dinner on occasion or a cup of tea can be good for you. However, there is a fine line with this. Go past one or two per day and you start doing damage to yourself.

In regards to caffeine, it provides a temporary boost to focus. But we aren’t looking for quick fixes in this program! We are looking for longterm health. This is why we also recommend you quit white table sugar. Refined sugars put stress on your blood sugar regulating system. If you are genetically predisposed to diabetes then processed white sugar is the fastest route to becoming a diabetic. For those not genetically predisposed to it, it still isn’t your friend. It adds dietarily empty calories.

Recreational drugs are certainly a problem for both health and spiritual development. With hallucinogenics, by the time you reach a level in your spiritual and magical development where you have the ability to use them constructively, you are far enough along on your development to not need them. Other recreational drugs simply have no place in this kind of training. If you are using them or have an addiction to them, please seek professional help and enter into a program of recovery.

Prescription drugs, or pharmaceuticals, are not so easy of a topic. Some of them do have an effect on our spiritual, energetic, and metaphysical development. Others do not. This really comes down to a personal case by case level. Of course in a state of perfect health you do not need these medications. So your first course of action is to make dietary and lifestyle changes that will promote health. Work on developing good health and correcting the underlying cause of your condition(s) before attempting to stop any prescription medications you may be taking. Even then, do so only under the direction of a physician or other qualified healthcare provider. Please do not discontinue medication simply because you think this training has removed your need for it. REPEAT- do not come off of any medication you are taking unless under the advisement of a physician or qualified healthcare provider.

People do come off of certain medications through practices like these, but it often requires diligent work over the course of several years. Health and wellness are a journey not a destination!

All of the above substances can slow down your progress. One substance that can actually assist your journey to perfect health is pure clean water. Drinking water daily is the best thing you can do for yourself. Pure spring water and distilled water are considered to be the best for this purpose but filtered tap water is typically just fine in most places. You should start with several 8 ounce glasses worth per day and build up. Some recommend going to as much as a gallon of water a day. This may be excessive depending on where you live and your activity level. If your urine is very light yellow to clear you are likely getting enough water. If it is completely clear and you are going frequently you may be overdoing it.

A multivitamin can be a good addition to your health regime. If you are eating a wide variety of fresh raw foods, then taking a multivitamin once a week should be sufficient. The more processed and cooked foods you eat the more often you should consider taking a multivitamin. Of course, you should consult a nutritionist for more personalized advice in regards to this. While they aren’t typically needed, a good multivitamin can help with your nutritional needs. Be sure to do some research and buy them from a company you trust. Not all vitamin supplements are made equal.

Exercise: Many people have the wrong idea about exercise. We see it as a chore, something we are supposed to do but don’t want to. This is not a healthy attitude!

You need to find some activity you enjoy doing. If it can be done outside that is better. You want to avoid places with polluted air and spend time in places with clean fresh air. This is doubly true when you are exercising. Walking is one of the best for spiritual development. Fast walking clears the mind and stimulates the brain. Light to moderate aerobic activity helps oxygenate the blood and get everything moving. Go ahead right now and do a quick search on the health benefits of walking.

Besides walking, taijiquan (tai chi chuan), yoga, and swimming are great exercises for the spiritual seeker. When engaging in exercise, be sure to start off slow. This is especially true of yoga. While it is a wonderful exercise, many of the yoga instructors today are only partially trained. New yoga students often want to advance through the postures too quickly. Find a teacher who will take you through slowly, focusing on building solid skills with the basic postures before ever considering allowing you to advance.

When picking a taijiquan instructor, be sure to read up on taijiquan first. Go with your instincts on this one.

Keep in mind that some people offer lessons in yoga and taiji for free. Other charge a reasonable rate per class or per month. Avoid instructors who are charging high rates.

As always, with any exercise consult a physician or other qualified medical professional before beginning to make sure you are healthy enough for the activity.

Work: Finding purpose in your life is an important part of your wellbeing and health. You want to work at something you enjoy and that gives your life meaning. This may mean some sacrifices, but if you are doing work you love it will be worth it!

Doing meaningful work helps to reduce the bad stress you experience. Bad stress (as opposed to eustress) causes health problems and makes you sick. Good stress, eustress, can actually motivate you to do better. The fast walking mentioned above places eustress on the cardiovascular system, the neurological system, and the musculoskeletal systems. This is why it makes them stronger. Remember, bad stress tears you down but good stress builds you up.

A quick note on retirement. Don’t do it. If you put yourself in a position where you no longer need to work for money, that is great! But that doesn’t mean you should sit around your house for the rest of your life. If you do, it won’t be for a very long time! Continue to do something you love doing. Help others as best you can.

Diet: There is probably more information available on diet than any other portion of these teachings. The problem is that most diets fall into two categories. The first is general diet. General dietary advice is great for most people but it doesn’t work for everyone. It will keep you alive and can help somewhat with health but it won’t optimize it. The second category is fad diets. These are for weight loss, muscle gain, or some other specific goal. Some of them work for some people. Many of them are not sustainable long term.

For your well being and spiritual development you need to go beyond both of these to a third, less popular category. Diets for health. This topic has been discussed in Lesson 8. In addition to the advice given there, it is strongly recommended you look into food combinations. Af few rules advocated by the order are:

  1. Don’t eat fruit and vegetables together.

  2. Don’t eat meat (animal protein) and potatoes (starches) together.

  3. Don’t eat green leafy vegetables with potatoes.

  4. Potatoes, beans, and bread are good eaten together.

Look into general nutritional advice but also look into diets like the macrobiotic diet, the Daoist diet (The Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity by Daniel Reid), ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Try to actually read any scientific articles before implementing their advice on dietary changes. Of course, seeing a certified nutritionist is always a good idea.

Herbal supplements: Before starting any herbal supplement be sure to look into any available research on its effectiveness and safety. Keep in mind that many medications can have a reaction with certain herbs. Even some common foods like grapefruit can cause bad reactions in combination with certain medications. Always use caution with herbal supplements. If you do decide to take a supplement, please be very careful where you buy it. As with multivitamins, not all are created equal. At the time of writing this, there is little regulation on the quality of herbal supplements. The majority of quality assurance is performed within the company producing the product and it is very much so a buyer be ware market. Only buy from companies you know something about. Typically, nothing is done about the quality or safety of an herbal product or company until people have already been harmed by taking it.

The study of herbal remedies is well beyond the scope of this course. The original teachings of the Order did contain a fair amount of information on them. At the time, it was up to date. However, much has changed in this field. The level of information available on herbal supplements is many times larger than it was back then. I will leave further exploration into this topic to the student with the exception of a few notes.

If you decide to harvest or process your own herbs, be 100% sure you know what you are getting. If you have to boil them use only glass, ceramic, or stainless steel pans. Never use aluminium pans when working with herbs. Keep in mind that UV rays in sunlight, heat, exposure to air, and time all reduce the potency of herbal remedies.

Look into the benefits of garlic. Fresh is typically best, with pill form being second. Dehydrated garlic powder will offer little benefit. Turmeric is another herb that is gaining popularity. These along with psyllium are three things I try to take on a daily basis. With garlic, I will take either the pill form or include it in my cooking. I add turmeric to a variety of dishes for flavor and color. Psyllium is a plant based fiber, and can be found in a wide range of fiber products over the counter. In addition to these, I also include peanuts or peanut butter in my diet on an almost daily basis. I have chosen these four things because of my personal health and wellness goals. You should tailor what you take to assist you in meeting your goals.

As I said in Lesson 8, don’t take my word for it! Look into these topics for yourself!!!

Fourth Ventricle Meditation: The final health meditation for this lesson is the fourth ventricle meditation. Begin by breathing deeply. Inhale to a count of ten, hold for a count of four, then exhale for a count of ten. Repeat this for a total of ten breath cycle. Bring your attention into your fourth ventricle in the rear or posterior aspect of your brain. Imagine it is like the inside of a geode. Visualize that it is full of old putrid liquid and let the liquid drain out. Intone the chant “Aummmm”. Repeat this for a few moments. When ready, stop chanting for a moment and positively affirm your health to your body. Spend a few minutes on this section. Return to the chant and as you do so, keep the intent of longevity and good health in the back of your mind. Visualize the fourth ventricle filling with clean, clear, sparkling liquid and you chant. Give thanks.

The fourth ventricle meditation can be done daily. You can practice it following the reprograming detailed above or at a separate meditation time.

Elemental magic

Water:  Please see the Water Star picture in the photo section of this site.

Water deals with emotions, feelings, psychic abilities, and flow.

The characteristics of water are clarity, the ability to carry heavy items, reflective, non compressible, expandable, smooth flowing, slower to react to fire but not as slow as earth is, malleable shape, and mutable. It should be noted that when water is frozen as ice it can be considered to be expressing earth energy. When it evaporates as steam it is expressing air energy.

Keep in mind that the term elements isn’t really a good one for these. They are really just states or phases on a continuum. Please do not make the mistake of thinking they are hard and fast elements that cannot change into any of the other elements!

More characteristics include insulating, stable (unless acted upon), absorbing, mover of earth, bridge between earth and air/fire, feminine, inward direction, blue color, and compassion.

Faults attributed to water include indifference, laziness, frigidity, negligence, shyness, insolence, and instability.

When air acts upon water: feelings and emotions will be logical. Air blows the waves causing water to move.

When earth acts upon water: emotions are stabilized. Materialistic feeling arise. This sub element can be used to stabilize the emotions, calming them if needed.

Fire acting upon water: makes steam, “consuming” water. This is a transformative consumption. This energy leads to fiery emotions and powerful psychic abilities. It allows for the will to change the emotions.

Water acting upon water: this is a very emotional energy. Empathy is rooted in this as is the ability to influence another’s emotions. This energy stimulates great compassion, romance, and can open the recipient to subconscious influence. The energy is very psychic and intuitive, magnetic and receptive.

Spirit acts upon water: to raise the emotions to a higher order. This can bring about spiritual bliss and harmony.

End note: The energy of water acting upon water can be used in the meditations in this section. This point is not obvious to most students their first time through this lesson. Invoking the energy of the element of water in addition to the reprogramming above can work to strongly cleans the subconscious of harmful programing and refresh it with the new rejuvenation programing.

There are other such connections hidden in the teachings of the Order that a diligent student might pick up on.

End Lesson 14.
