Master Healing Course
Psychic healing: The method of healing that the Order focused on was psychic or energy healing. This is known as laying on of the hands as well. Reiki, faith healing, qigong and all other energy based healing systems operate on the same principals. I will enhance the teachings of the Order with my experience in qigong and other Chinese based internal healing systems. Qigong is one ot the simplest and easiest systems of healing, yet it is very effective. It also has a great depth of veriaty and one can spend a whole lifetime studying it yet never reach its end. At the heart of energy healing all systems work about the same way. Once the basic techniques are learned you can move on to using anyother system with ease.
Reiki, a Japanese system of energy healing and spiritual development is very popular these days. It is effective, but is very expensive to learn. This is often reflected in the prices asked by its practitioners. Reiki has several levals to the training, each costing more money as you progress. I would guess that there are true masters of the Reki system that do not charge outragouse rates, but they do not seem to advertise. Please beware of any psychic or energy healer that charges enormous fees for treatment or diganosis! Often the lust for money can cloud or even retard their develpment and this can inhibit there abilities. This is not to say that all Reiki practitioners are like this, becouse they simply are not, just that the ones that are stand out and are very available. I am telling you this becouse I encourage you to have energy work done, be it by a psychic healer, Oriental medical doctor, massage theripist or whatever. Just trust your intuition when dealing with them.
Basic technique: The simplest method is to just stand with your feet shoulder width apart and breath deeply. You may want to do your power chants before you begin. Draw the energy from the Earth up through your feet and the light from the center of the universe down through your crown chakra. Let it flow into your hands. Breath in light, and as you exhale let the energy flow out of your hands into your self or who ever you are healing. Touching is not neccisary, and for many inhibits the flow of power. Hold your palms a few inches away from your target. Keep this up for a few minutes at a time. Breath and do your power chants inbetween rounds. Alternately you can just draw energy into your heart and let it flow out your hands. You may want to hum "OMMMM" as you project the healing energy. Remember to mantain the intent of healing as you do this.
Theory: Basically, your health will effect your ability to heal others. You must keep your self in good physical condition. Exercise regularly, yoga, qigong, walking or any activities that get you outside are best. Stress must be minimized as well. Remember to practice the basic relaxation from lesson 1. You must also work to build up your power as you learned in lesson 4. The Order instructed its students on chakra work extensively. As this has been covered in great detail in many books and websites, I will not delve into it deeply here. The Order also gave many tips for keeping you healthy. Work during daylight hours, rest at night. Take one day a week to rest. Drink pure clean water, at least 8 glasses a day. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, decaffeinated drinks, soft drinks, sugar and preservatives. Your diet should be composed of as high a percent of raw unprocessed organic food as possible. The teachings also go into how unhealthy meat is. Vegetarianism is highly recommended. There is a lot of information available on this on the web.
It is important to control your emotions. The teachings tell us that a relaxed state such as comes from love and compassion are best. Fear, anger and worry eat up your life force. Meditation and relaxation exercises work as long term corrections for emotional imbalance. The colour chart given is also useful for making a bag with things of these colours to help bring the energy of the balancing emotion you need into your life and aura:
Colour-Emotion <Balanced by> Colour-Emotion
Violet-Serenity Orange-Loyalty
Lavender-Indifference Chartreuse-Disappointment
Scarlet-Anger Emerald-Aesthetic Love
Red-Rage Turquoise-Lust
Yellow-Irritation Blue-Mother Love
Opening the head and hand chakras: I use the word chakras because so many people are familiar with that word. What I mean by chakra is an energy center or point in the body. We have many of these, and I will touch on them later in this lesson.
To begin, sit on the floor or in a chair as in basic meditation practice. Let yourself get comfortable, and relax with a few rounds of deep breathing. Become aware of your pulse, at first you may need to touch a pulse point on your wrist, but with a little practice you will feel it I your body when you relax.
Inhale to the count of seven heart beats, hold your breath for one heart beat, exhale for the count of seven heart beats, hold for one heart beat. When breathing like this you must use your stomach muscles, and not your chest muscles to breath. This will gently expand and contract your abdomen. Practice this set about ten times.
Now, hold your hands out in front of your chest, still breathing in the 7:1:7:1 pattern. Space them a few inches apart and focus on the palms of your hands. Let your attention alternate between each palm at first, taking one or two breathing cycles each. In time you will be able to focus on both palms at the same time. With some practice you will begin to feel a sensation there, often a tingling or pressure. This works to enlarge your hand chakras.
If you have trouble feeling anything, you can do a few things to facilitate the process. First, try rubbing the palms of your hand together quickly. The friction will help to bring energy and blood flow to the area. Second, quickly open and close your hands. This does the same as the first. Third, try pressing the thumb of your left hand into the center of the palm of your right hand for a moment, then alternate right thumb to left palm. This will help with the feeling of the energy.
Now bring your attention to the top of your head, the crown chakra. Keep the 7:1:7:1 breath cycle going, and on your inhalation visualize white light flowing down from the center of the universe into your crown chakra and flooding your body. As you exhale, direct it into your lower abdomen. Do this for a few breaths.
Now that you have built up some energetic charge, continue breathing in the white light from your crown point and when you exhale direct it to the palms of your hands. Practice this for a few minutes.
When you get the hang of it try holding all three points in your attention at once. Let the energy flow be constant and smooth, like water. Let it circulate through your body as well. You can now use this method to project healing energy.
Begin as before, this time standing. Get the energy going into your crown, to your palms. Turn your palms towards you, starting at the top of your head, let them slowly sweep in front of your body down to your feet. Keep breathing deeply, the 7:1:7:1 cycle is best, but don’t worry to much about it just breath! You should feel a sensation, often warmth, tingling or pressure moving from your palms to your body. Practice this for at least a few days before trying it on someone else.
This exercise of opening the head and hand chakras MUST be practiced. I recommend daily practice for a few weeks. It need only take a few minutes per session, but please do one session a day for a few weeks. The Order suggests a daily session of ten minutes for two weeks, followed by two minute session everyday after that.
Gaining the ability to see energy: The order teaches that there are tools you can make to help see a persons aura. You can make small wooden rods and paint them. One bright red, one bright green and one medium blue. You will also need a wall of a neutral colour, white is best, but cream or any other solid colour will work. You may need to hang a large poster board or white sheet on the wall as your background.
Try to arrange things with the light source behind you. Hold the stick in front of your eyes about four to ten inches away from you. You will have to experiment to find the right distance. Gaze at the stick for about five minutes. Take the stick away without moving your eyes. You will see a ghost image in the opposite colour. Try it with the other sticks.
I have never worked much at this exercise because it really didn’t seem to do anything for me. All it is doing is temporarily affecting the colour sensitive rods in your eyes. My since of energy comes primarily from feeling rather that seeing the aura.
You can also have a friend stand in front of the white background and relax your eyes. Do your 7:1:7:1 breathing and gently look at the area around them, especially the head with your peripheral vision. If your friend does the 7:1:7:1 breathing also, it will facilitate the process. You may see a white “glow” around them, or even colours. It works for most people rather quickly, but some, like me, have trouble with it!
Another exercise you can do is to sit in a dark room alone or with a friend. Light two candles and place them on a table top with a black cloth on it. You want them about 18 to 24 inches apart. Have your friend sit across from you, or place your hands palms facing each other between the candles, breath deeply for a minute. You may want to do the head and hand chakra exercises. When you are ready, begin chanting Raw- Maw- Alim- Alim for a couple of minutes. Ask for the ability to see energy. You may need to close your eyes for a moment and visualize purple or lavender light. Now open your eyes and gently gaze at the other person, or your hands. Usually the area around the head is the easiest to see the energy.
These practices will also help you develop psychic abilities over time.
Colours of the aura: Ok, I must admit that I am a little skeptical about auric interpretations. Everyone seems to have their own opinions about what colours mean what. I think research and experience are the ONLY effective teachers here. Read websites interpretations, and look at peoples auras. You will have to put together your own system of auric reading.
The reason that psychic do not agree about what the colours mean is because each person is different. One colour might mean something to one person, and another to another person. Also, the way your energy interacts with the persons aura you are reading will effect what colours you see. Your emotional state and energy level play roles in this as well. The subject of the reading, the location and perhaps even the time of day can all change the way a psychic perceives another persons energy field.
I will give you a few hints to get you going in the right direction, but I really feel that this is all a matter of personal preference.
Brilliant whites generally denote health. A soft white light is often what you will perceive emanating from a persons body when you first start doing this. This will clarify with practice. The brilliant white differs from this only in intensity, like the halos of saints in religious art. Some violet in a brilliant white light indicates a strongly spiritual person.
Reds tend to denote emotional upset or anger. This may indicate or lead to heart trouble or cancer.
Blue can indicate colds and flu, however, you need to keep in mind that disease begins in the energy field so these may not be present, just that the person is disposed to them.
Yellow, I have been told, indicates the person is telling a lie.
Gray or black generally indicate the disease has already taken hold and treatment is required. I have heard that an over shadowing of black may indicate the presence of negative forces in the persons life or even “demonic possession”, though I have never experienced this first hand.
Personally, I do not use auric reading much. This gift has been unreliable for me, because it comes and goes. An elder of mine is very gifted at it, and when I am around her I can do it effectively, but on my own the ability to read auras comes and goes.
The Chakras: A chakra is an energy center, or vortex in the body. They tend to be seen as spinning disks or wheels, and this is where the name comes from. My perception of them is a little different. I see them more as vibrating than spinning, though the spinning interpretation does have many practical uses.
The number of chakras, or energy centers varies from system to system. The simplest use only three, one in the head, one in the upper torso and one in the abdomen. Acupoints used in Oriental Medicine could be seen as energy centers, giving one hundreds of points to work with.
The system taught by the Order is based in the arts of pranayama yoga and kundalini yoga. They expand and modify these systems, refining the information to be of especially potent use to the practicing magick user. Most systems of chakra work utilize seven main chakras, two chakras in the hands and two feet chakras, giving a total of eleven chakras. Some expand that to a chakra for each major joint. In advanced Oriental esoteric teachings we learn of the energy centers in the shoulders and hips. After much training and practice, a master would perform a ritual called “Untying the Knots”, where the master would push large amounts of energy through these four centers in the students body. In the teachings of the Order they utilize a system with 15 main chakras and several minor ones, primarily working with the hand chakras.
The teachings offer a list of front and back chakras. Click here to see the chakra location diagrams.
The front chakras are the; crown, forehead, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, spleen, navel, and sex.
The back chakras are the; back of head, back heart, back solar plexus, back spleen, X chakra, and base.
We will now cover each chakra individually. Many of these are covered very well in books and websites devoted to chakra work, and so will only be touched upon.
The base chakra is at the base of the spine. It regulates survival and self preservation. It energizes the physical body. It is usually given the colour red, but occasionally orange and yellow are associated with it.
The sex chakra is found in the pubic region. It regulates the bladder and sex glands and legs. It plays a major function if Tantric Yoga, and is given the colour orange, and some reds.
The X chakra is said to be vary dangerous, and so kept secret. The teachings tell us to leave it alone until later on in the training. It moves the energy of the base chakra up the spine. It is given the colours orange, yellow and orange red.
The navel chakra is at the belly button. The intestines are controlled by it. It is said to help draw energy into the body and govern clairsentience. It is given the colours yellow, green, blue, red, violet and a slight amount of orange.
The back spleen chakra is on the back. It is used to absorb cosmic energy from the sunlight. It is given the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.
The front and back solar plexus chakras are identical in function. They heat and cool the body, affect the liver, pancreas, the intestines, appendix and stomach. They distribute psychic energies and govern balance. They are given the colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and some violet.
The heart chakra is in the middle of the chest and regulates the heart, thymus gland and the circulatory system. It is the center of universal love and understanding. It has the colours of gold, and some red. Green is used to activate it.
The back heart chakra regulates the lungs and heart. It is used when healing cardiovascular conditions as working on the front heart chakra is said to be dangerous for the patient. It is given the colours of orange, red and some gold and yellow.
The throat chakra is in the throat. It regulates communication, the lymphatic system and the thyroid. It acts as a bridge between the lower and higher chakras. It regulates the ability of clairaudience and creativity/self expression. Its colours are mostly blue with some green and some violet.
The third eye chakra is between the eyebrows. It regulates the pituitary gland, the vital organs and endocrine system. It is the center of the higher mind and the directive center. It is said to have two divisions, with some people having one division predominately light yellow and the other light violet. With other people having one division whitish green and the other light violet.
The forehead chakra is in the center of the forehead and controls and regulates the pineal gland and nervous system. It is the center of lower cosmic consciousness. It is said to be violet, blue, red, orange, yellow and green.
The crown chakra is on the top of the head and controls and energizes the brain and pineal gland. It is the center of higher consciousness and connects one to the Divine. It is the center of pure knowing and intuition. It is given the colours of violet, blue, green, yellow, and some orange and red. The inner petals contain mostly gold.
In most interpretations of the chakras, they are represented with flowers of different numbers of petals. I have found this symbolism useless to me, so have not included it.
As I said before, there are many systems utilizing different numbers of energy centers. I mostly work with a five center system developed from years of work in qigong, Taoist meditation and Qabalah work. I have integrated runes and drawn ideas from Chaos magick to invigorate my personal system. I encourage you to find systems and styles that move you and draw upon them for inspiration.
First activation of the chakras: This next section begins to enlarge and open your energy centers. This work prepares you for later work on raising the kundalini energy. Lessons 28 and 31 will take you through the second, third and final activation of the chakras which is based in Daharan yoga. I am not sure what Daharan (perhaps Dharan?) yoga is. I think Dharan has to do with Hindu religious observances.
The energy of the kundalini, when activated rises up and pierces each chakra, in turn fully activating them. The shock to the physical and energetic bodies can awaken abilities known as siddhi powers. Basically, what happens is the intense movement of energy during the raising of the kundalini activates your natural psychic and spiritual gifts. The preliminary training is required to prepare you for this intense experience, and to give you some understanding and usage of your natural spiritual powers.
The heart center: We begin here because without compassion, love and understanding the abilities gained by developing the other chakras could be misused.
First, relax and clear the mind. Sit as in meditation, the lotus position is preferred for this work. Concentrate completely on your heart center. Press the thumb of your right hand into your breast bone, between your pectorals, and hold it there for a moment. Maintaining concentration on the sensation of pressure, remove your thumb and softly chant the following seven times.
RA-MEH-RA-MA-RA-MEH
The sound should be made to vibrate the region of your heart center. At first you may need to imagine this, but with practice it will occur on it’s own. Practice this for seven days then add the next exercise.
Relax again, and refocus on the heart center. Visualize pink light surrounding your body at the level of the heart. Let it pulsate with the beating of your heart. Intone the following chant softly but firmly nine times.
OOH-MM
You should take a deep breath and slowly begin the chant, intoning the OOH part for half the exhalation and the MM part for the other half of the exhalation. As with all the chants of this nature, you should focus the vibration of the sound on the region being worked.
For the third part of the heart center activation, visualize a brilliant white cloud pulsating with radiant energy above your head. Personally, I like to visualize that it emanates from the center of the universe. Concentrate on the energy, as it comes from the highest Divine source. Let the energy flow into your heart center. Focus on the heart center as it fills with the Divine light. Hold this image for a few minutes.
You can stop here and slowly get up and stretch. I would recommend walking around for a few minutes to restore blood flow to your legs.
When you become accustomed to this practice, you can add this simple, yet profound meditation onto the end of the heart center activation.
With the radiant light flowing strongly into your heart center, let it fill your body with love, light and peace. You may want to coordinate this with your breathing, drawing in the light as you inhale and filling your self as you exhale, but I prefer a continuous stream of light. When you see yourself as full of light, let it flow out into your aura. When you feel your aura is full, hold your hands out to your sides, palms facing away from your body, so your body forms a T shape. Let the light flow out from you, filling your immediate area, if you are inside, fill the room you are in first, the whole building, the city, the state, the country, continent and finally the whole Earth. Let the love emanate and penetrate to all things. Close by bringing your hands slowly to the prayer position in front of your chest. I like to mentally repeat the affirmation that I am a vessel of the love and the light of the Goddess, but you can make any peaceful and loving affirmation you chose. Finish by giving thanks and smiling!
The pace of the work: I recommend working on the heart chakra for one week before proceeding on to the throat and head centers. If you are experienced at meditation you may be able to advance by one center per day or two. If you are new to all this, take at least three days to a week before adding the next center. I do not recommend going beyond the third eye center this quickly. At the end of the third eye centers section here I will give you the recommended time frame before proceeding onward. This is not meant to slow you down, and you should work on other things while doing this. However, you must take your time and proceed with the work at a pace where your energetic and physical body can adjust. Going faster will not give you better results. Most students who ignore the time frames find that they are just wasting their time. You will not see results from the more advanced techniques until you are proficient with the basics.
You may move on to the base center and clearing the channels at any time. The solar plexus and navel center exercises can be practiced seperate from the rest of the chakra work, but I would recomend developing the centers in the order given.
The throat center: Take a moment to relax, and get back into your meditative posture, either in your chair, or preferably in the lotus position. Focus on the energy center in your neck. Visualize it pulsating orange light. Chant the following mantra nine times without pausing.
THO-THO-RAMA-THO
This sounds like Th-oooo, whit the TH sound and the OOO sound being said slowly and the RAMA being said quickly. Like thhhooo thhhooo rama thhhooo.
The forehead center: The first part of this meditation works the third eye. It is said that all cosmic power comes in through this center, though from personal experience I have found that you can draw in energy from any where on your body, even breathing in energy with your whole body. Development of this center will lead to the awakening of your latent psychic abilities. It can also increase the amount of spiritual/magickal energy you have available. Or perhaps its development simply increases your ability to use them.
As before, relax and reassume your meditative posture. It is permissible to get up between working on each center in the beginning. As you advance in your discipline you will find it easier to remain in meditative states, and be able to go deeper, faster.
Bring your attention to your third eye center, between the eyebrows. Inhale quickly and deeply, and exhale slowly making the following chant.
RA-MA
This one is a little more difficult, as you must chant RA-MA seven times on the same breath. You will pause for a moment to inhale quickly again, chant RA-MA seven more times, pause again to inhale quickly and chant RA-MA nine more times on the same exhale. You can use your fingers to count by taping one finger for each repetition of the chant, so your say RA-MA, tap one finger, RA-Ma, tap another finger and so on.
It takes a little practice but you will get it. Do not get up after finishing part one, go directly to part two.
For part two of this center, remain seated, and refocus on your pineal gland, this is inside your head, you can look up the specific location. Visualize it glowing a yellowish green light, pulsing with energy. Chant the following chant three times.
RA-RA-RA MA-MA-MA RA-AH-HA MA-AH-AH
Going directly into the third stage of this centers activation, keep your focus on your pineal gland, with the yellowish green light, and silently intone this, with your thought alone, three times.
RA-AHA-AH MA-AH-AH
Working with the third eye center in this way will stimulate your brain, and generally makes people smarter and more creative. It enhances visualization skills necessary for more advance magick and helps to improve the energy flow to the other chakras. You will want to practice this for a few weeks before going on to the next center. You will know when it is time to move on, for some three weeks is enough time, for other you may need a month or more. Please do not rush this part of the training as it is very important for the more advanced work later on.
The crown center: Now we will begin working on the crown center. This meditation will focus on the pituitary gland in the center of your head. You should look up the location of all the glands in the body before working with the, but this one is the most important to see.
It controls higher consciousness and connects us with the Divine. The psychic abilities of this center will surpass even those of the third eye.
As before, relax in your meditative position, by now you should be comfortable in the lotus position. Bring your attention to your pituitary gland and imagine it encased in a vibrant and brilliant violet light. Let the light pulse with energy. Intone the following chant.
AUM
Remember to feel the vibrations of the chant in the pituitary region inside your brain. You will chant AUM audibly seven times, breath in and chant it seven more times silently this time, finally chant it out loud nine times. After a few sessions you will begin to notice that you feel the silent chant vibrating stronger than the audible ones.
With practice all the chants taught by the Order can be done silently with great effect. They must be mastered audibly first.
The solar plexus center: The solar plexus is the area of your body at the top of your abdomen, below your chest. This is where your diaphragm, the muscle that pulls your lungs down to fill them with air is.
The following meditation is a version of the Tibetan exercise of Tumo, which means “powerful woman”. It is used by Tibetan monks to heat their bodies, even in the frozen Himalayan mountains.
The simple version of this exercise is to relax. Breath deeply and visualize energy entering your crown chakra, and flowing down to your solar plexus chakra, charging it with power. Let the center spin, and as it does so, it will begin to fill your body with heat. Use your breath to assist it in spinning. As you inhale pull the energy into your solar plexus center and as you exhale let the heat radiate from that center.
The longer version of this exercise begins by facing south, the direction of fire and heat. Assume the easy lotus and gently lay down, back to the floor, with your head pointing north. Take a moment to relax, and place both hands on top of your solar plexus, so your hand are stacked either right on left or left on right, try both and see which feels best.
Focus on the top of your head and as you inhale draw warm golden energy down into your body. Let your whole body be flooded with this radiant light. As you exhale, bring the energy to the solar plexus center, flowing in clockwise circles as it gathers. Make as many circles as you can on each exhalation feel the internal heat build up with each breath.
You will need to practice this for a minimum of fifteen minute per session. When you are done, unfold your legs slowly and rub them gently. Carefully try to stand, as your legs may have gone to sleep.
This center is sometimes known as the seat of power. It will increase your physical energy, and can enhance your magickal abilities greatly.
The navel center: This center is in the lower abdomen, just behind and below the navel. This exercise will train both the navel and the sex center.
Relax as always, and assume your meditative posture. This can be done in any position, at anytime, even while moving, once you get the hang of it.
Place your right palm on your lower abdomen, place your left palm on the back of your tight hand, thumbs touching and concentrate your attention to the region inside your body. As soon as you feel a sensation there, often a pressure or tingle, begin your 7:1:7:1 breathing cycle. Keep your attention focused on your navel center. As you inhale, draw energy from the center of the universe, through your crown center down into your navel center. As you exhale, focus it into the navel center. With some practice you will be able to draw energy into the navel center on both the inhale and exhale sections of the 7:1:7:1 breath cycle.
After about ten minutes of this, begin to circulate the accumulated energy. Still breathing deeply, let the energy spread through out your entire body, like warm water, or a warm blanket. Watch this happen for about one minute. Slowly stand up and move around.
It is beneficial to do some simple physical exercise for a few moments after finishing this meditation. Yoga and Qigong are the most compatible to this type of work, but anything is better than nothing.
The base center: The base center, or root chakra is located at the base of your spine. It does not need any special development during the first activation. I would recommend kegel exercises (also called P.C. or pubococcygeal muscle contractions) as preparatory work for later training. These have many added bonuses, other than preparing the body for kundalini, including improving sexual performance. They are common practice in Taoist disciplines.
On occasion, when under great stress, or if your physical survival has been threatened, you may use the following exercise to recharge the base chakra.
Light two red candles, place them on the floor and lay down between them and relax completely.
Sit up and get in your meditative position. Visualize yourself encased in a ball of red light. Imagine this red sphere is radiating warm red energy. Bring your mind to the base center, focus until you feel a sensation there. As you breath deeply, draw the red light up into your base center, filling it with the warm red energy. Let the radiant heat of the red light build up there. When you are ready, chant the following.
Remma
You should continue chanting and visualizing the energy filling your base chakra for abut ten minutes. Play with the chant a little bit to see what feels best, as each students needs will be different. The base center meditation can be done at any point in the training, as often as needed.
Pointers: The key to these meditations effectiveness is the students ability to focus their undivided attention on the center being worked. This focus is the basis of all true magick. By consistent, persistent practice the students psychic and magickal abilities will develop.
This type of training takes time and regular effort applied over a period of several months. At some point the student will notice that they hit a plateau of sorts, and they see no results. This is a sign that the student is headed in the right direction, and that your determination and worthiness to receive these teachings is being tested. Keep up the good work, keep doing the exercises and keep training. The lull in your progress will pass, and often with remarkable benefits. If you need encouragement, e-mail me and I will do what I can. As always, if you have questions, I will be glad to answer them.
Clearing the energy channels: This method of clearing the channels is said to develop ESP. It is divided into two parts. The first part, awareness training should be practiced nightly for one month before going on to the breathing part of this training. If you are accustomed to meditation or practice an internal art like Yoga, Qigong or Taiji Quan, you may be able to advance to it much faster, but I would still recommend taking a full week to focus on the awareness training as it is so fundamental to the advanced training, especially to Ishmahti.
Part one, awareness training: Relax body and mind. Sit or lie down on a comfortable surface. Focus on each part of your body, bit by bit. Start with your toes, move to your feet, legs, organs, torso, arms, hands, fingers, neck, head, scalp, face, everything you can think of in order from toe to head. With each area bring all of your awareness into that small area. Let it become the center of your consciousness. When you feel it relaxed and full of life, move on to the next part of your body. After several sessions you will begin to become aware of the processes in your body.
You will find it helpful to keep a written record of your progress in this exercise, record each session, and your success or failure to enter each part of your body completely.
Part two, breathing training: Perform the awareness training as before. The difference is that now you will combine the movement of your awareness with your breath. Begin by taking a deep breath, hold it for a moment, and close your right nostril with your thumb, exhale as you bring your awareness into your big toe. Hold your breath for a few seconds and then inhale through your left nostril as you shift your awareness into the next toe. Hold your breath for a moment, then close your left nostril with your thumb and exhale as you move your awareness into the next part of your body. Continue to breath in through one nostril as your awareness goes into one part of your body, hold it there as you hold your breath, and exhale into the next part. You will breath in and out of one nostril, then switch to the other nostril to breath in and out. Remember to hold your breath for a moment while holding your awareness in one part of your body in between breathing in and out and between breathing out and in. Breath in this way as you alternate nostrils and move your awareness throughout your entire body. This exercise will take fifteen to twenty minutes done this way. You will want to do this exercise for at least one month, I would recommend doing it before bed.
Projecting psychic energy: You will need to become proficient in this before you can move on to the actual energy healing. Begin by performing your 7:1:7:1 breathing cycle for a few minutes, until you feel charged with power. Energy healing can take from five minutes to thirty minutes per session, may require several sessions per treatment.
You will want to keep up your deep breathing cycle during the whole treatment, taking breaks in between sessions to recharge. After the treatment is over continue to do the 7:1:7:1 breath cycle for about five minutes.
The Order teaches us to use specific energy combinations for specific conditions. I have never worked this way with my energy healing. The teachings tell us to begin to practice by sending out one colour of energy, drawn form the appropriate chakra, at first. Then when proficient at this, to combine the colours to treat specific diseases. Practice is done on white poster board, just as with seeing the aura. You visualize projecting the colour, or combination of colours in a beam of energy.
As I said, I simply do not do it this way.
The green glove: This is one useful combination of colours that I have used with good effect. Begin by placing a bowl of charged salt water on the floor near the patient. Activate your head and hand chakras. Start your 7:1:7:1 breathing, build your energy for a few minutes. Draw green energy from your crown center and project it to a spot on the floor, where you will visualize it as a green flame. Surround your hand with white energy from your crown center. Now draw green light form your navel center and surround the white glove with green energy. Sweep your patients energy field with the glove, removing negative energy and throwing it into the green flame on the floor. Make sure you do all sides of the patients energy field. When you are done, let the flame, which has been burning up all the negative, diseased energy you have drawn form the patient, dissipate. Wash your hands in the salt water, take a few minutes to replenish your power and proceed with the treatment.
Energy healing: As stated above, the Order lists over thirty conditions and the energy methods for healing them. I do not work that way. My method is much simpler, and just as effective. I relax, and charge myself up. I cleanse my patients aura. Then I listen to the patients energy field. I draw in white light from the center of the universe, from Divinity. I draw up energy from the Earth, usually green. I may direct the energy through my heart center, sometimes using golden light, but usually just white and or green, and let it flow into my patients aura. Sometimes I direct it where I feel it needs to go, especially in the case of localized pain or injury. Other times I simply let the patient’s body’s natural wisdom direct it where it needs to go. I maintain my deep breathing through the whole process, sometimes talking the patient through the process, sometimes remaining silent. Mostly, I like to chant or hum.
If you are interested in the thirty-one methods of colour combination then e-mail a request to me and I will get put up.
I recommend that the student look into other methods of energy healing, as each person is different and some systems work better than others for an individual healer.
Distance healing: Energy healing is not limited to location. I recommend working with a patient in person at least once before trying remote healing. Remote healing works best if the healer has given a few treatments to the patient before beginning to work from a distance. Pictures are the best for remote healing, however, a poppet can be made to work on in the persons absence. A poppet is what most people think of as a Voodoo doll, a figure, often made of cloth and stuffing, with symbols on it to represent the person who is the target of the work being done. You can make a poppet of the person and pin the picture to it. You can also take hair, or whatever from the person, though I don’t put much faith in hair, nail clippings etc.. as providing a solid magickal link to the person they came from. Personal contact is always best, followed by a picture and a poppet. All else falls short of these.
Before the first session, you should arrange a time and date when you will be working on the patient. It works best if the patient can be relaxed and receptive to the healing. Failing that, work while the patient sleeps. If neither is possible due to schedule conflicts, remote healing will still work, but it will require more effort on the healers part.
Begin by relaxing and charging yourself with power. You will want to start this about twenty to thirty minutes before the agreed upon time for the session. Cast your circle, and charge it. You may want to do some power chants as in chapter 4. Begin your 7:1:7:1 breathing cycle for about ten minutes. Stand up and gaze at the picture or representation of the patient for a few minutes to get a very good mental image of them. Now close your eyes and visualize them in front of you in the position you would normally work on them in. Use the same methods of healing as before to work on the patient.
This method can be done from a meditative state as well, by visualizing yourself working on the patient in your minds eye, but that takes some practice. The one above is easier to do.
Self healing: First off, you must use self healing when you feel the first signs of illness. They will not work well if you are weak and bed ridden.
Begin by relaxing and charging up with the 7:1:7:1 breath cycle. You may want to do some power chants if you are able. Bring all of your attention to the afflicted area, and fill it with white light. Visualize it filling with power for a few minutes. You may want to breath in healing energy and breath out the negative/diseased energy, grounding it into the Earth or burning it in the blue flame. When you feel it is charged, go to stage two of self healing.
Bring your attention back to your 7:1:7:1 breath cycle to reenergize for a few minutes. When you feel charged concentrate on the afflicted organ or body area. Fill it with light and healing. This is a more focused version of the awareness training you learned abut earlier. You may want to breath in healing energy and breath out the negative/diseased energy, grounding it into the Earth or burning it in the blue flame. When you are ready proceed to stage three of self healing.
Relax again, and energize yourself with the 7:1:7:1 breath cycle. This time combine the two previous stages and focus on both the afflicted organ or area and the appropriate energy center. As before, fill them with white light and healing, and breath out the diseased energy. You may want to visualize the energy flowing from the chakra to the afflicted area. This helps some people. You can direct the diseased energy with your hands or with your breath, pushing or blowing it into the green fire.
You may need to repeat all three stages nine times per session, doing two sessions per day.
Another method of self healing works very much like the energy healing you would use on a patient. As before relax and energize yourself by the 7:1:7:1 breath cycles, and power chants if you are able. Stand with your knees bent slightly, or sit with your spine straight if you can not stand. As you inhale raise your arms up above your head, palms to the sky and fill them with white healing energy. I like to hold them there for three breaths cycles. When they feel charged, slowly pass them, palms facing your body, in front of you a few inches from you. Everyone is different, so play around with the distance until you find one that works. Let your hands slowly float downward directing healing energy into every part of your body from head to toe. As you do this, you can press the negative energy into the Earth through your feet. Or you may want to alternate one, two or three healing cycles for every cleansing cycle. Remember to breath slowly, if you cannot maintain the concentration on the 7:1:7:1 breath cycle, that is ok, focus on the healing energy, and just breath slowly and relax. Do the 7:1:7:1 in between passes, while your hands are refilling with healing energy.
This lesson is the beginning of the healing information presented in the remainder of the course. I is the foundation upon which the other information is based. The Orders teachings focused on healing because it is one of the most effective ways to build magickal and spiritual power. It is also one of the most practical ways to test your abilities. You may or may not ever use these techniques on others, but they are good to know if you ever need them. I use them on my family and friends. I have used them on myself. They even work on animals. It is very important to your magickal development that you remain healthy, and a healthy person will be able to work more effective magick than a sick one.
Remember the exercises presented here are focused on maintaining your health and the health of others, but the impact they have on your spiritual and magickal abilities can not be overemphasized!
